Hi! I am Rachael DeCaria, owner of Rachael DeCaria Photography. I am a new photographer in the field; specializing in family and lifestyle photography in Northern WV, Southwestern PA and Southeastern OH. I also travel if I am available to do so!
I am happily married and a mama of two beautiful children. I found my passion for photography through motherhood. When you become a parent, you are reborn. Since becoming a mom, my iPhone camera was always open and photography became my way of journaling our life. My mind began to love photography more & more every day. I learned the best times to shoot, lighting, how to make kids giggle to get real smiles.. and some of my favorite photos are candids (unplanned, real-time beautiful moments). After 5 years of talking about purchasing a camera, my husband surprised me for Christmas with one. I haven't looked back or stopped learning since.
I hope to bring my love of capturing authentic, real moments to other families. I love to be silly and capture connections. The art of photography is one I am learning and growing in.. I am always honored when families trust me with their moments. I promise to bring a gentle, respectful nature to you and your family. I value comfort and fun, celebrate differences and 1000% understand the chaos that comes with family photos. I cannot wait to continue to grow my portfolio and experiences!
